CAN YOU BE SAVED IF....?
From the beginning it was not so?  However, time, as it will, erases those difficult little precepts we once inherited from our kin folk.
From the beginning, GOD, the creator of heaven and earth, chose whom He would to pen His mighty Words of wisdom, power and truth. These words are inerrant Words (they can not and must not be altered in any way).  These words are infallible Words (not to be considered anything less).  These words are inspired Words,  that we  who believe their unchangeable truth and origin, may find favor in the eyes of almighty God.
THE WORDS OF GOD ARE PURE WORDS...AS SILVER TRIED IN A FURNACE OF EARTH, PURIFIED SEVEN TIMES. THOU SHALT KEEP THEM O LORD..THOU SHALT PRESERVE THEM FROM THIS GENERATION FOREVER   PSALM 12:6,7
Matthew 4:4   "It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that procedeth out of the mouth of God."
Matthew 5:18  "til Heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law til all be fulfilled."
Can you call Adam and Eve a fairy tale and still be saved?  Can you look upon the parting of the Red Sea as a mental figmentation and still be saved?  Can you deny the Virgin birth and still be saved?  Can you call the crucifixion a lie and still be saved?  Can you believe that Jesus is not sinless and still be saved?
Can you deny the atoning BLOOD and still be saved?  Can you believe that all Bibles (over 400) are the true Word of God and still be saved?  Can you walk hand in hand with this present age and still be saved?
If you answer YES to any of these questions, then be informed that Jesus will say unto you.."Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the Devil and his angels."
The WORD of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword....
DO YOU HAVE THE WORD OF GOD...OR DO YOU ONLY HAVE A PART OF IT?
Seek and ye shall find...

THE WORD
If the WORD OF God be not perfect, then so be it with your SALVATION.
Perhaps the greatest frontal attack against God in these troubled times is the growing onslaught of the prepared critic.  I say critic because there are so many variations in his house.
There are numerous ways the Bible critics seek out and destroy. And while many of them perform their dastardly deeds unwittingly, none the less, they carry the banner of the "evil one."
For those of us who swear by the 1611 King James AV Bible (and there was a time when the KJV was considered THEE Bible)...the enemy has increased multi-fold.
And with the influx of new recruits from the Satanic ranks, we, the "dead heads" of Christianity, have been hood-winked into a possible position of compromise. You might say that the Devil's misfits have caught us asleep at the wheel.  I meet them every day..the mighty stalwarts of a time that is no more. These were fundamentalists right to the core...but with the advent of new evangelicalism, and radicals of the faith coming from every direction with every new wind of doctrine, the watering down process had begun.
Those reading about the new "emerging" styles of worship became gullible, almost overnight to various alternative concepts in worship.
These new emerging transitions rapidly overwhelmed them and, as a result, the march to "easy believism" was underway.  The once powerful Independent Baptist Churches began to crumble and lose their independence. And, what's worse, those faithful to the King James Bible, developed an itch for compromise. In the midst of all this, the highly respected  "Bible belt " of America dropped its sacred drawers in lieu of the roomier bloomers of apostasy.  New Bible versions began flooding the stores so fast that the King James scriptures passed them going the other way...and anyone who was new to the Faith got intercepted at the border.
A new era in Christiandom was underway, and the people rejoiced over their new-found freedom.  Soon there would be over 400 different Bible versions among the flock...one for every life style. If you didn't like what the King James said about immorality, there was a Bible that took the sin out of it.  If you felt it was okay to be "gay", there was now a Bible that knew what to say that would not offend you. If tithing was the issue, there was now a Bible that omitted it altogether.  If Salvation presented too many restrictions, there was now a Bible that took away those restrictions.  Whatever your life's pleasures, there was now a Bible that eliminated your guilt and set you free.
These "new age" churches have something for virtually every taste, guaranteed not to offend...even a dance floor and a brand of music to throttle your libido.
Come as you are..and leave as you came. 
Now...we, the remnant, who have remained steadfast in our commitment to Christ, can hear our prayers bouncing off the hallowed walls of  half-empty churches.....and in the immortal words of John McRae's IN FLANDERS FIELDS, so aptly wrote he:
"We are the dead...short days ago we lived..felt sunset glow..."
Yes...we ARE the dead (in Christ)...and that's where the sunset will always glow.

IT'S IN THE BOOK (PART 1)
How can we know we have God's WORD?
Some of the most obvious ways we can know we have God's WORD are:
The GOSPELS....Matthew...Mark...Luke...and John, when Jesus walked the earth.  The wonderful attraction of God and meeting 
Him face to face...hearing His amazing parables..and discovering all about His purpose for those who would believe in Him.
Jesus Christ..the God..the Saviour of all who will come to Him.
Jesus made His mission very clear with promises like:
Matthew 18:11..."For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost."  Doesn't that one sentence say it all?
Of course, the totality of his mission was to become a SIN sacrifice by dying in our stead on the Cross at Calvary.
How can we know we have God's WORD?
By examining the scriptures and by FAITH believing what is written on each page.  For example, Psalms 12:6-7  "The  Words of the Lord are pure Words as silver tried in a furnace of earth purified seven times.
Thou shalt keep them O Lord...thou shalt PRESERVE them from this generation FOREVER.
Such WONDERFUL Words!  All we have to do is by FAITH believe.

HOW CAN WE KNOW WE HAVE GOD'S WORD
PART 11
By FAITH!  Hebrews 11 verse 1 "Now FAITH is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
By faith...ABEL...
By faith ENOCH...
By faith..NOAH, ABRAHAM,MOSES AND JOSEPH..also TOM BONVIE...We all believed by FAITH, not seeing that which was far off.
"For by Grace are ye saved thru FAITH..." Ephes. 2:8,9.
FAITH  turns that which is invisible into that which can be seen.
By FAITH we take God at His Word.
By FAITH we believe the end from the beginning.
Tis true...FAITH CAN move mountains!
When we read God's Word and there is no FAITH, then all we see are some words on paper. But when we add FAITH to the equation, our eyes are opened and we can see clearly who God really is.  Trust in your heart as you peruse the pages and allow the leading of the Holy Spirit as He guides you into all truth.
CAUTION:  Careful of which Bible you use.  There are many that corrupt the Word of God.  A good rule of thumb is...which one is the "BLOODIEST"?  I, myself cling to the King JAMES AV.
REMEMBER...GOD WROTE ONLY ONE BIBLE.

HOW CAN WE KNOW?
(Part 3)
How can we know if we really are saved?
I call it the "vaccination effect"....if it doesn't leave a mark then it wasn't the real thing.
When you prayerfully give your life over to Christ with a repentant heart, then the Holy Spirit will take up residence within and lead you into all truth.  Although the Salvation itself is real sometimes it may take a new convert a little while to recognize the reality of his adoption. Do not be alarmed; you'll know soon enough. Sometimes the Spirit may have to deal with an overload of "house cleaning"before He can genuinely begin His work in a CLEAN vessel. In the meantime, continue in prayer, and remember what God's Word says..."He that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out." Also, keep an eye on this fine bit of scripture, 2 Cor. 5:17 "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new."  Also 2 Cor. 13:5  "Examine yourselves whether ye be in the faith.  Prove your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates."

HOW CAN WE KNOW?
(Part 4)
What is meant by "every wind of doctrine"?
Basically...whatever way the wind blows.  Scripturally...what ever way the trend goes.

Back in the "old" days...long before you and I were around...most people were in love with only one Bible.  I've heard it said....that one Bible was, and still is. the King James AV 1611.  Today, sad to say, there are about 400 different Bibles to be found (I imagine, one to suit just about every life style).
Many of the new Bibles were born out of a need to relate or identify with the people.  Some accentuated the truth of God's Word, while others corrupted it.  And, surprisingly, there were those who simply did not like being told how to live their lives.
Throughout all this however, there is still a lone Bible that refuses to modernize.  That Bible is th
e King James 1611 AV.

WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO KNOW
1. That if your Bible doesn't say ONLY BEGOTTEN SON in John 3:16 then you have a corrupt version. It may say "only son" or "son".
That is incorrect and heresy. God has PRESERVED His Word. He has purified His Word as silver in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.  David  said "Thou shalt PRESERVE it O Lord from this generation FOREVER."
 Taking away Jesus' Godship is comparable to the "Unforgivable Sin"...and since you can't LOSE your Salvation, it would indicate that you never had it to begin with.
The question is: are you willing to take that chance?

"PURGATORY"
is it real?

Anyone....???
What is "Purgatory"? (according to Catholicism)
Well, it's been called a lot of names. but Catholicism teaches that "Purgatory" is a place somewhere beyond the horizon where ANYBODY,especially Catholics, can go and have their sins purged and forgiven. So, live, love, and be happy in this old sinful world because there is still hope, short of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As a young Catholic, I was told that "Purgatory" is a place in outer space, similar to a bath house, where you get your sins washed clean. They said, that once in "Purgatory", the only way out is for others to PRAY you out.
Not to sound facetious, however, with the Catholic Church always with their hand out for more riches, the rule of thumb has been that the more you give then the faster you're about to have your drunken, child abusing husband made sinless and free to enter heaven.  MAN, IF THAT DON'T KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF!!
Roman Catholic mothers in particular, enjoy the features of the "Purg". The story is told of a priest who sent a letter to a grieving mother which stated that if ANY  Roman Catholic mother would send 40 dollars to the church, then the church would guarantee that if her son was killed in battle he would go straight to Heaven and bypass "Purgatory". Thank God, Jesus said it was easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle then for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Catholicism states that "Purgatory" is where the soul has to go for a short while, where there is terrible suffering and flames that will purge your sins.  So...what this tells me is that Jesus Christ does not cleanse you from all your sins by His shed BLOOD.
I think that the "Purgatory" Catholicism alludes to is really Hell itself, which was adjacent to Paradise before Christ removed it. Perhaps a good spiritual MAP might be an asset to the Catholic Church.

ROMAN CATHOLICISM
  Fact or Fiction
The Roman Catholic church has been called the GREATEST CULT THE WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN 
Hebrews 10:10
"By the which we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ..ONCE FOR ALL!" (read also verses 11-18)
Catholicism re-crucifies Jesus Christ at every Mass, using its symbols of wafers and wine as the actual flesh and blood of Christ.
Verse 18.."Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin."
Catholicism teaches that the wafer and the wine, which the priest holds during communion, are the LITERAL BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST, WHEN IN REALITY THEY ARE SYMBOLS.
When Jesus said in 1 Cor.11:24.."this is my body" he was not alluding to his LITERAL body.  In reality, his own body was holding the wafer...and his own hand was holding out the CUP. The bread and the wine which Jesus offered, although totally significent, were not his LITERAL body and blood...as the Priest signifies (thus crucifying Christ  continuously day after day)
THEN WE COME TO MARIOLOGY 
In 1 Timothy 2:5 we read..."For there is one God and one mediator
between God and men. the MAN CHRIST JESUS"
It couldn't be any clearer..the MAN WITHOUT SIN!
Catholicism teaches there is more than one mediator. They teach there are NUMEROUS MEDIATORS. Rome claims we have assistance from the Saints if we are to draw close to God. It seems these Saints, if you pray to them,will put in a good word for you with God. This, of course, is an insult to the Cross of Christ, when we must approach our personal Saviour through discourse with intermediaries.
 I WAS a part of the Catholic system(I'm not even going to call it a church that's affiliated with God) In many Roman Cathedrals are statues of what Catholicism believes many of the Saints looked like...bearded...long hair...a chalice in hand..and so forth.
As a child I was instructed by the Convent Nuns and Priests to make the stations of the Cross.  In other words,pray my way around the church, kneeling before each figure and seeking their assistance. These were all called "intermediaries" for Christ. I don't know about you, but the Bible tells me to pray directly to God in Heaven in the name of Jesus Christ...and not to Mary...not to Peter, James or John. Scripture is clear that ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD...Romans 3:23.  Even Mary in Luke 1:46,47.."And Mary said, my soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit ath rejoiced in God my Saviour."  Did Mary need a Saviour?  Oh, yes!
The Roman Catholic Church teaches that Mary is not only worshiped, but hat she is also our Saviour. They also believe that if God is angry with us for sinning, then Mary will intercede with her son Jesus.

Are there SAVED Muslims? Are there SAVED Humanists?

Are there SAVED Communists? Are there SAVED Agnostics?

Are there SAVED Unitarians? Are there SAVED Universalists?

Are there SAVED Voodooists? Are there SAVED Hindus?


Is ANYTHING SAVED that is unscriptural?

NO ONE IS SAVED WHO HAS NOT PUT ALL HIS TRUST FOR THE REMISSION OF

HIS SINS AND THE COMPLETE SALVATION OF HIS SOUL IN NOTHING ELSE THAN
JESUS CHRIST, AS HIS ONLY PERFECT AND ALL-SUFFICIENT SAVIOUR.

To say that any of these people are SAVED, in spite of the teachings of their church, is nonsense....who outwardly hold membership in any of these churches or institutions, thereby denying the full and complete doctrine of JESUS CHRIST, as outlined, according to the Scriptures, is not only LUDICROUS, but out and out BLASPHEMY to our LORD GOD.

If you are SAVED, then you must believe in the Scriptures and Holy Doctrine of Jesus Christ, and rely FULLY upon Him (Jesus Christ) and Him alone for Salvation, according to His Doctrine. You CANNOT PRACTICE ANY OF THE ABOVE RELIGIONS and STILL CONSIDER YOURSELF A CHILD OF THE KING....FOR WHAT FELLOWSHIP HATH LIGHT WITH DARKNESS?

The main fundamental foundation of Biblical Christian belief, is the Doctrine of JUSTIFICATION by FAITH ALONE in the ONE PERFECT NEVER- TO- BE REPEATED BLOOD SACRIFICE ON THE CROSS OF CALVARY OF JESUS CHRIST, the PERFECT LAMB OF GOD, who bore the sins of all men that we might receive God's pardon and be freed forever from sin and Hell.
Some children of these various sects and cults may have attended Bible Clubs or Vacation Bible Schools and "gotten SAVED" (BEEN CONVERTED TO THE DOCTRINE OF JESUS CHRIST) and the only reason they are still in their "parent" church is because their parents will not allow them to leave. Be assured though, that if they are TRULY SAVED, when they are old enough, they WILL leave.

THE HOLY TRINITY
Ever wonder what to say when a Jehovah Witnesses call at your door:   The following may help you be in spiritual readiness:
You see....THE JEHOVAH WITNESS DON'T BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS GOD!!  They believe that Jesus was an angel and that he existed as a spirit before being made flesh.  The JEHOVAH WITNESS have two gods...OUR GOD (I AM) and  a lesser or little god...JESUS CHRIST.  They believe that Hebrews 1:6 tells us that Jesus was an angel, but they ignore verse 4..."being made so much better than the angels..."

FIRST OF ALL....we must identify God.

In Exodus 3:14 God is identified as I AM, when Moses asks whom shall I say has sent me.  In John 8:58 Jesus says, " Verily, verily I say unto you BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS.."I AM".  In John 10:30 Jesus says  "I and my Father are ONE."
In Revelation 1:12-16...Jehovah Witnesses agree that this is Christ...but notice in verse 17  Jesus says.."I AM THE FIRST AND LAST..THE APLHA AND THE OMEGA.    Also in Isaiah 41:4.
Revelation 1:8...again Jesus identifies himself as one in the same with God the Father.  He repeats it again in verse 11.."I AM ALPHA AND OMEGA, THE FIRST AND THE LAST".....

What about the Holy Spirit (the third person of the Holy Trinity)?  He too is GOD.  Acts 1:4....remember Ananias and Sapphira and how they lied to the Holy Ghost (verse 3 and in verse 4...lied to GOD..ONE IN THE SAME)
In Acts  13:2, the Holy Spirit says..."Separate me Barnabas and  Saul for the work whereunto Ihave called them" (God the Holy Spirit).

Other good verses to quote...John 20:28...Luke 1:35...Matt 3:16 and 17....(Trinity) Matt 28:19....(Trinity) Acts 17:31.... Isaiah 43:10 and 11...Isaiah 45:22.
REMEDY:   "STUDY to shew thyself approved unto God...a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth."

MUSIC.....DIVORCE.....ANNULMENT...

It looks like the CONTEMPORARY is replacing the EXEMPLARY   when it comes to church music.
Most contemporary music lovers believe that  all music is NEUTRAL.  Tell that to the great artists who attest to their own genre as  being  superior...especially those who use music to propel their day, or set their mood along the way, on the dance floor or in the bedroom.  Tell it to the geniuses of silent films, for without  music, a slip or a trip..or even a rip ,without a musical chord or two would be nothing but a silent ZONK.
As a former playwright and radio commercial writer, I am convinced that there is no neutrality in music...not even chamber music.  Where would the LONE RANGER  have been without the WILLIAM TELL OVERTURE....or BOB HOPE  without THANKS FOR THE MEMORY?  It's my honest opinion that the mere suggestion of neutrality in contemporary Gospel music may be compared to a "BACH" in baseball.  And that's  my "LAST WALTZ" on this topic.

 DIVORCE OR ANNULMENT
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
Ever notice how some churches try to play GOD?
They do this by stating their private opinions of what God should have said...or meant. Some write such laws inside the covers of their Bibles.  For example...."WE TAKE THE  STRONGEST STAND AGAINST DIVORCE."
Yes......God hates DIVORCE...but He still loves the  sinner (if the DIVORCE was a sin to begin with)
Some churches will not let you inside the doors if you are divorced...and to be REMARRIED seems almost like an abomination.  As far as they are concerned, you are still living in your sin (unforgivable to many). WOW!  If you are still living in your sin then I guess theBLOOD of Jesus Christ has limitations as to its cleansing power....no matter how repentant you are.  Hmmm...that's interesting.  On the other hand..anybody who is divorced, but is "shacked up" with another person, may seek membership at the same church.  These people must never remarry, but live a life of complete sexual purity, and they are to make every effort to reconcile with their former spouses, even if their ex-spouse has already married another. Simply tell him to "get lost"....you are moving back in.  These churches also state that no divorced man can ever hold a church office, with the exception of perhaps the church janitor or gopher.  One church in southern Ohio was referred to as the church of whores and whore mongers because divorced people were allowed to preach in their pulpit.
There are no scriptures to signify a divorced man cannot hold office.  However, some churches have locked  on to some scripture verses and made them say what their ears wanted to hear...like.."a Bishop must be blameless, the husband of one wife.."  Well...first of all..NOBODY is BLAMELESS..and secondly..the HUSBAND OF ONE WIFE refers to bigamy, and not divorce and re-married.  The self-righteous will go on and on until, in the end he reveals himself as a "knuckle-headed hypocrite and trouble maker.
Think on this:   If we decide to use PARTS of the old testament and  PARTS of the new testament, when Jesus is  conversing and being tempted by the Pharisees , re: Issues pertaining to the law, that we, the SAVED are NOT UNDER, then let them be sure to use ALL the law...EVEN WHEN GOD HIMSELF DIVORCED HIS OWN WIFE, ISRAEL.   I ask you..IS GOD A SINNER?
It's time to wake up, ye HYPOCRITES!   We are not under the LAW,  but under GRACE..AND "WHERE SIN ABOUNDS GRACE DOTH MUCH MORE ABOUND. "  Why waste your time, oh holy and righteous man that you are?  Why ridicule and bludgeon a Saint of God who is covered by the atoning BLOOD of Jesus Christ?
1 John 1:9  "If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins."

And what of ANNULMENT...what say ye then?   Where ANNULMENT is given, under Catholic church law  you are proclaimed to have NEVER BEEN  OFFICIALLY MARRIED IN THE EYES OF GOD.  After which you abandoned that idolatrous church, got saved and married another saved person...what sin do you  attach to this scenario?   My suggestion to ALL  you who know ALL is that you be careful whom you whip...and whom you crucify.
ARE WE TRYING TO DO THE LORD'S WORK
in the WORLD'S WAY?

A wise man of God made that observation....and how TRUE IT IS!
2 Corinthians 6:17....."Wherefore, come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord..."  OH, HOW THE PAGAN CULTURE HAS POUNCED UPON THAT PHRASE !
My friends, I am afraid we are well immersed in the  "do good..feel good" world of paganism...and as you might expect, this is that world which will eventually find its way into our churches.....and, in some places, I fear, already has. Perhaps not in an obvious way, but as droplets of  religious pesticide..(the drool of the evil one).  The larger a church becomes, the more difficult it is to see them...but, they're there...stealthily hiding amid the pews...gnawing at their inner jaw  and being oh so careful not to burn their hands on the transcripts of Jesus.
They listen to the infants in Christ and make haste to alter the traditions of men.  Later they meet their ruins and examine their inroads as they gloat over their kill.
"More drums," says one.."we need more drums in the singing."       
"And there's no need to mention the name of Jesus in every song," says another. "It's not a name that sells many records.  Not like the word, God.  It's okay to use God, but Jesus is a byword."
"The walls of tradition are creviced  and ready to implode," says another.  "Without the 'new ' music  the congregation picks their nose and plays with their computers. And that new preacher, if I didn't know better."......
It won't be long now..they'll soon be on their knees alright, but for a much different reason.
Political correctness is the enemy of God.  It's the Devil's cup of damnation.
Political correctness tells us it's okay to be a homosexual.
Political correctness tells us we are the masters of our own souls.
Political correctness tells us that abortion is the proper thing to do to satisfy our God-given rights.
Political correctness is to outlaw child correctness. (you can speak but do not touch)
Political correctness is calling God in the neutral gender.

DANGEROUS TRENDS IN CHURCHES

Rev. 7:13....God knows their works.

1 Tim 3:5 ...Having a form of Godliness but denying the power thereof 

         In many churches today the music doesn't match the message and the end does not justify the means.  There's a CRISIS in the pulpit!  Pastors are now telling their  flock.....
"Just get the lost to believe in the Gospel...don't worry about their walk or what Bible they believe in.  Don't get on their case about SEPARATION...simply  give them the Gospel and back off."
GIMME A BREAK!!!
Even the Devil believes in the Gospel of Jesus Christ...and he's not going to Heaven.
If you go back into the world following your proclamation of Salvation, then you make a mockery of the entire Word of God.   God will not be mocked!  You are like a dog returning to its vomit...and you have no testimony to pass on to others.  People won't see Christ in you.....you'll cause the Holy Spirit to grieve.   It's like having a vaccination that doesn't TAKE.    YOU'VE ACCEPTED THE GRACE BUT  YOU DON'T HAVE THE FAITH.  "For by GRACE are ye saved through FAITH......."   Talk about "easy believism"  ...this is an attack on the heart..AND the SOUL...and an insult to God.

DANGERS OF A MOCK TESTIMONY

Gen 19:1-14 (Angels did eat).....Two Angels that did eat and were visible to everybody.
They were male Lords.  The men of Sodom wanted to "know" them.  (Adam knew Eve
...had sex).
If we who know  God's truth and do not tell others, then their blood is on our hands.
We will answer to God when we show compromise and empathy.  Verse 7...notice Lot
"kissing up".  He addresses  the wicked sodomites  as "Brethren".  Lot even suggested that these  vile people have sex with his two daughters. WHY?   What a "sick" dad Lot was.
Lot was of high esteem with the people of Sodom but, could  not win even two souls to Salvation, which would have made the required TEN necessary to deter God's wrath.
Let use keep our testimony pleasing unto God

 MY TAKE ON CULTS

CULTS....CULTS...CULTS!    There's never been a more cursed and blasphemous word any where at any time.   A CULT POINTS IN EVERY DIRECTION THAT IS NOT JESUS CHRIST!
CULTS do not necessarily require leaders...although most have.  Charlie Manson...Jim Jones and David Koresh are among the most notable of our time.
Usually when we think of CULTS our thoughts go to  religion...but,isn't everything we aspire to a religion of sorts?  One can make going for a walk a religion if they insist on doing it at a specific time every day. "I do my exercise religously every day."  

Even over-eating can be a religion.  The difference arises when your religion begins to impact others to the point where they become enveloped by the things you set forth, and subsequently look to you as their leader.  Unfortunately, CULT  leaders thrive on self-pride and the more people they recruit into their CULT, the more prideful they feel...thus, there is no ceiling to their egotism and pride.
Not all kinds of CULTS are ill-fated in the carnal sense, and appear to be quite aside from their religous  overtones, however, tend to ultimately equate with the CULT's direction.
For example...when I was a kid I was a part of the JAMES DEAN cult ( movie actor who was tragically killed in an auto accident).  My generation became obsessed with DEAN's family problems and his fight to be recognized as a "somebody".
After reaching stardom as a teen movie idol, his "CULTSHIP" soared so that even today, there are tinges of  "his plight"  still attached to most of his followers.  Many singers of that same era continue to have their followers....ELVIS PRESLEY....and FRANK SINATRA, to name just two.  And while most of these are usually quite harmless in origin and are likely to deminish, the same can not be said for the truly evil ones.

What does the Bible say about CULTS?  The Word of God calls them IDOLS and rightly so.
Does God hate IDOLS?  Well, let us look in Exodus for the most direct answer...Exodus 20:3...THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME.. (sounds plain enough to me) Verse 4...THOU SHALT NOT MAKE UNTO THEE ANY GRAVEN IMAGE... Verse 5..THOU SHALT NOT BOW DOWN THYSELF TO THEM NOR SERVE THEM...
Anything that is worshiped  aside from God, is an IDOL and an ABOMINATION  in His sight.  And, if you worship it and get others to worship it also, then you have a CULT.
Even people who believe they can lose their Salvation can be rightly called a CULT.
Why?  Because they adhere to a following that is contrary to the Word of God.
The biggest problem people have is all wrapped up in this one verse of scripture:
"Study to shew thy self approved unto God; a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth."
HERE'S WHAT WE MUST STUDY....
      1. Is the Word of God talking ONLY to Israel or to everyone..every where? There is
      a difference.
      2. Is the Biblical reference applicable to both the AGE OF GRACE  and the KINGDOM 
      AGE?
Determine this first and you are on your way to a greater understanding of God's Word.
For example: The Old Testament refers to Israel as God's CHOSEN PEOPLE...while the New Testament  calls Christians the CHILDREN OF GOD.  All others are of their father..the Devil. Do this and be not ashamed, for you have rightly divided the Word of truth.
Remember...an IDOL is anything that supersedes or sets itself (himself) up in a place that ascends to or beyond the God of the Bible.

Now...this is going to rub many of you the wrong way..guaranteed.  Any Bible that does not agree scripturally  word for word with God's  PRESERVED, INFALLIBLE, INERRANT Word....is undeniably CULTISH!
The NIV is cultish...the NASV is cultish...the Message is cultish...and so on.  If it's not TOTALLY of God..INFALLIBLE  and  INERRANT...  in other words..if it is not the 1611 King James authorized Bible, then you do NOT have God's PRESERVED WORD.  NOTE:  I did not say you weren't saved. Salvation is  BY GRACE THRU FAITH....
THE CATHOLIC PRINCIPLE:
Having spent 43 years in the Catholic church and believing I was going to Heaven simply because some Priest told me so...(although I may spend extra time in Purgatory), gave me much to know about the world's biggest CULT.
Just because Catholicism acknowledges  the deity of Jesus Christ, does not exonerate them from their IDOL worship of statues and Mary and their belief that Hell is not a literal place.  Simply to elevate a man to be the Vicar of Christ is nothing short of blasphemy.

In conclusion...to avoid CULTIC PROPAGANDA  it is suggested that you read and BELIEVE and PRAY  according to the Word of our true God and Saviour.  If you believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour...that He suffered and died and shed His precious BLOOD for the remission of our sins and rose again from the dead on the third day..then according to the Word of God, thou shalt be saved.
If this be so...may the God of Grace and Glory bless and keep you....

72 HOURS IN THE TOMB 
People say that Jesus Christ rose from the dead on Sunday.  There is no verse in the Bible to support this.    Mary Magdelene arrived at the tomb on Sunday, but it was empty.

People say with Saturday being the SABBATH Jesus had to be down from the cross by the SABBATH, so they make it GOOD FRIDAY.  Some PASTORS say that 72 hours does not have to be 72 hours.  What do we do?  Go to the scriptures.
Matt 12:38-40  (72 hours)
Jonah 1:17  (3 days and 3 nites)
The Bible calls it a whale and a great fish.  Man has determined it to be a MAMMAL.
Jesus made the statement in Matt 12...."belly of the whale"...and Jonah agrees in Jonah 1:17.
John 19:3 says...for the SABBATH DAY WAS AN HIGH DAY (not a regular SABBATH). The Jews sometimes have 2 SABBATHS.  One is their regular SABBATH and one is their HIGH SABBATH.  The REGULAR SABBATH begins Friday  at 6 pm.
Luke 23:44 indicates that the SIXTH hour is at noon...and the NINTH  hour is 3 pm.
Jesus had to be in the tomb by 6 pm because this is the beginning of the SABBATH...Friday 6 pm to Saturday 6 pm.  Jesus was in the tomb by 6 pm on WEDNESDAY, where he stayed for 3 days and 3 nites...and rose by 6 pm on Saturday.
(WHY DO YOU MAKE IT COMPLICATED?)
Matt 28:1....the first day of the week is SUNDAY.
EASTER  is not for Christ but is "ESTARTE"...(fertility goddess).
Mark 16:2...plus...Mary arrived very early after 6 a.m.  Jesus was gone...RISEN.
Luke 24:1...RISEN
John 20:1...RISEN
So cancel "sunrise services"...cancel "Easter bunnies" ....cancel  "fertility goddess".
Celebrating  Easter Sunday as RESURRECTION SUNDAY is a lie.  He rose on Saturday by 6 pm
Matt 17:23...we must place His resurrection 72 hours AFTER His interrment in order to get 3 days and 3 nites.  He was buried between 3 and 6 pm on WEDNESDAY the FIRST  day...so, He had to rise between  3 and 6pm on the third day (SATURDAY)
Mark 15:25...crucified at 9 a.m....darkness over earth from noon until 3 pm. He died by 3pm.
Mark 15:34-37...
Mark 15:42-46...Jesus buried by 6pm
NOTE:  We have a 3 hour window.  He died BY 3 pm then buried by 6 pm..BUT knowing the perfectness of God, the entire sequence of events likely happened right on time to correspond with 3 DAYS and 3 NITES.
Matt 12:38...3 days...3 nites...72 HOURS.
Remember...3 days and 3 nites is from the time of His interrment until the time of His resurrection.   IN THE GROUND BY 6PM; OUT OF THE GROUND BY 6PM

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS SIMPLIFIED
The Bible tells us that Jesus spent 3 days and 3 nights in the tomb, which means that if He rose on Sunday, there is no way He could have been buried on Friday (as Catholicism claims).
ANSWER:  Jesus was placed in the tomb before 6 pm on Wednesday AND  rose again by 6 pm on Saturday.  DON'T MAKE IT COMPLICATED.
The question is asked: How do we know the King James Bible is the true Word of God?
Answer: In Psalm 12:6-7 we read: "The Words of the Lord are pure Words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.  Thou shalt keep them O Lord, thou shalt PRESERVE THEM FROM THIS GENERATION FOREVER." (These are words God gave unto King David to write)  

The "Key" word is FOREVER. DON'T MAKE IT COMPLICATED.
